When Emily in Paris was released on Netflix last month, it quickly became one of the biggest cultural talking points of quarantine. Whether you loved the show or hated it, there’s one thing we can all universally agree on: Lucas Bravo.
The ridiculously good looking French actor, who plays Emily’s (Lily Collins) love interest in the series, quickly went viral online with many people realizing that he’s potentially the only reason they couldn’t switch off the show:

Now, just six weeks later, he’s garnered over 1.3m followers on Instagram, been signed by global talent agency WME, and been confirmed to star in season two of the series.
To celebrate seeing more of this face on our screens in the very near future, we compiled a list of things to know about Bravo, which are almost guaranteed to make you fall even more in love with the 32-year-old.
1. He’s a Sex and the City fan
“I adore Sex and the City, honestly. I watched it so many times over and over,” Bravo told Glamour.“I learned so much about things you should or shouldn’t do — in bed or elsewhere — thanks to that show. That’s why I felt pressure the first time I auditioned for Darren, because he’s so iconic to me.”
2. He auditioned for the role of Gabriel five times
Though we now can’t picture anyone else in the role, Bravo said he was worried he wouldn’t get his part on Emily in Paris. “I was added I think a week before it started. For my character, [casting] took quite some time. I auditioned maybe four or five times. I remember I was trying to get over it because the answer wasn’t coming and I didn’t want to overthink it or be disappointed because that happens so much in this line of work,” he told Who What Wear. “But once we were in the room, we did a couple of scenes with Lily and it suddenly clicked. Two days after that, they called me, and that was it.”
3. He was once a sous chef
Just like his character on the show, Bravo has worked with food in the past. “I was a sous chef in a restaurant a few years ago,” he said in an interview in September. When I first got the scripts, I was like, ‘Oh, wow, this is definitely for me, I’m definitely going to use these skills,” he continued. “And so they made me cook the omelettes that I had made for Emily on the show.”
4. Naturally, he’s also a model
Bravo is currently signed to modeling agencies Tribe Management and Viva Model Management. In 2017, Chanel tapped him to appear in an ad with Ellie Bamber.
5. He loves traveling and being in nature
Bravo’s Instagram account is full of photos of him traveling the world with friends. Plus, he recently left Paris and moved to Fontainebleau, a small town in the countryside, telling Glamourthat while he lived there, he could “hear nothing but the wind in the trees and the birds in the morning.”
6. He’s single and while he won’t date costars, he isn’t ruling out dating fans
“I have this rule about costars,” Bravo told Glamour. “Once you step on set, it’s a workplace, and I want to keep it professional. I mean, you never know what can happen, but I really try as much as possible to focus on the story we have to tell and the performance and the character. But I never know. And a fan? I don’t really have fans, so I don’t know. That is a question I will maybe answer some other time.”
7. He loves a music festival
Though he doesn’t have many photos on his Instagram, what he does have is a range of pics from both Burning Man – which he attended multiple years in a row – and Coachella. Where did I put my flower crown?
8. Just like you, he loved Normal People
Bravo told Glamour that he thinks Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal’s characters from Hulu’sNormal People are the sexiest TV couple. “I was blown away by their performance and their chemistry, and the sex scenes are pretty good. They are pretty real,” he said.
9. His dream destination is Patagonia
Bravo told Glamour,” I really enjoy traveling alone and getting very lost, like just to backpack, explore, and see landscapes. There’s a sort of fear when you get deep into that wilderness, and in that particular place you find really good answers about yourself.”
10. He values communication in relationships
“It’s the basis of everything,” he told Glamour. “Don’t be afraid or assume how the other person will take it. I don’t like when there is an elephant in the room and the person chooses to just run away or slam the door or sit in a corner with their baby face on. I don’t like pouting or when someone avoids a conversation.”
